YOUNGSTERS from Jellybabies Nursery and Pre-School have been spending this week marking Chinese New Year by learning about the occasion and China.
Activities included acting out the story of the Chinese zodiac, and learning about each animal.
Youngsters received challenge cards in the construction area to build the Great Wall of China, and they performed their own dragon dance.
The children have all received red envelopes of lucky money which are traditional gifts young people receive during the Chinese New Year period.
Children receive these envelopes from their parents, older relatives, and married family members, with the colour red symbolising energy, happiness, and good luck in Chinese culture.
