It will be Blooming in Bromsgrove when the annual Chrysanthemum show takes centre stage

Bromsgrove Editorial 11th Sep, 2019   0

THE ANNUAL Chrysanthemum show at Bromsgrove’s Burcot Garden Centre, Alcester Road, will take place tomorrow (Thursday).

It is an open event once again so anyone can enter their blooms into the contest.

Exhibits must be on the show bench by 11.45am and judging will take place at midday.

There will be 13 Chrysanthemum classes and one class for arrangements.

The show, organised by the Shirley Chrysanthemum Society, is expected to be the last one at the current venue as Burcot Garden Centre is currently the subject of planning applications for housing.

Because of this, the society is looking for a new venue for next year’s show and is always looking for new members to bolster its ranks.

Anyone wanting to find out more or who has a suitable venue for next year’s show should call John Rogers, the society’s treasurer, on 01527 544220.

Everyone is welcome to go along to the event tomorrow to see what promise to be some breathtaking blooms.

For more on the schedule and what is going on during the day, call Ian Thornton on 01902 840581.
