AN INSPIRING talk will be given at the Primrose Hospice’s latest Business Breakfast by Claire Lomas MBE who has rebuilt her life after becoming paralysed in a horse-riding accident.

The tenacious 39-year-old, who will take centre stage at the Chateau Impney in Droitwich at 9am on February 13, was paralysed from the chest down on May 6, 2007.

She discharged herself from hospital after just eight weeks and did a lot of rehabilitation which gave her the strength and courage to recover.

Claire has gone on to take part in the London Marathon in a bionic suit which took her 17 days, she has also participated in other sports and has raised £210,000 for spinal research.

The Primrose Hospice’s Amy Flemming said she was delighted to be welcoming the special guest.

“I’ve heard Claire speak before at a conference and it was a really inspirational and motivational talk.

“Primrose’s Business Breakfast is also a fantastic opportunity for local businesses to network together and make new contacts as well as raise money for the hospice.”

Tickets, which include a buffet breakfast, are £30 per person and can be booked by emailing [email protected] or by calling 01527 889796.
