In memory of a mum: Orchard Festival to return in aid of Primrose and St Richard's Hospices

A FESTIVAL which remembers a loving mum will return to Bromsgrove this summer to raise funds for the Primrose and St Richard’s Hospices, writes Oliver Clarke.

Puddle Party presents Orchard Fest takes place between 6pm and 11pm on July 12 and from 1pm to 11pm on July 13 at Puddle Wharf Farm, Redditch Road.

It will feature an exciting line-up of live bands, along with food and entertainment.

Dave Morgan launched the festival in memory of his wife Trish who passed away in 2011 from a brain tumour.

Before she died she was eager to raise funds for the Primrose Hospice for the help it gave her and held the family-friendly festival for the first time in 2016.

Save The Date will headline the opening day and New 57 the second.

Mr Morgan and his family from Aston Fields have raised thousands of pounds for both the hospices over the years.

He said, “Primrose Hospice was always there when we needed support and we are very appreciative.

“We wanted to give something back – people do not know when this sort of thing will happen to them and they do not realise these places need help.”

Emma Williams, Primrose Hospice’s fund-raising manager, said: “Puddle Party presents Orchard Fest will be a fantastic event.

“It’s a lovely tribute to Trish and we are grateful to Dave and his family for organising it every year.”
