Improvement grants now available for community groups in Bromsgrove

Bromsgrove Editorial 9th Apr, 2025   0

GROUPS across Bromsgrove can now apply for new community infrastructure grants of up to £30,000, writes Mia Whitehouse.

The Bromsgrove District Council scheme has been funded by the Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and cash can be applied for to deliver improvements to the community spaces.

Applications are invited from any organisation with a legal status including local authorities, public sector organisations, community interest companies and registered charities.

The competitive application process closes at 5pm on May 16 with the projects being funded needing to be completed between this June and September 30.

Rachel Egan, assistant director for regeneration and property, said: “These grants are great news for the local community in Bromsgrove as any extra funds towards the improvement of public buildings and spaces are a real help.”

The two different types of grants available are the Public Buildings Grant and the Green or Blue Space Grant, with both types of grants being for creating new or improving existing public buildings or green/blue spaces.

Green or blue spaces are any area of plants or water within a public space, such as parks, public garden, playing fields, woods or children’s play areas.

Any eligible organisations applying should email [email protected] with a completed Community Infrastructure Grants application form.
