I WANT to take this opportunity to wish everyone across Birmingham Northfield a very Merry Christmas and a happy new year.
To say that it has been a ‘challenging’ year would be an understatement, especially as it’s nearly been two years of significant disruption to our daily lives. Christmas is important to so many of us and for many different reasons.
Our family and friends are normally at the centre of our home lives during Christmas. Sharing a drink, enjoying a meal or going out. It is also very important to many of us who recognise this important time of year as the birth of Jesus.
In whatever way you choose to spend your Christmas, in the pub, at home or even on Zoom. Please enjoy this special time of the year with those you love.
It’s also important that we all remember those who may not have any immediate family or friends near by and may spend Christmas on their own. A quick telephone call, cup of tea or exchanging Christmas cards with a neighbour may make all the difference and spread some festive cheer.
From my family to yours, have a wonderful Christmas.
