Hundreds flock to Bromsgrove's annual St George's Day celebration

HUNDREDS of people turned out for Bromsgrove’s annual St George‚Äôs Day celebration which took place on the High Street on Saturday.

There were a variety of activities taking place, including performances from international singer Lucy Williams, Artrix Songstars Choir and Blackwell Concert Band.

There was also a traditional Punch and Judy show, circus skills, performances from Steve Kaos and classic British cars.

Steve and Kathy Cashmore were there in their classic red MG convertible.

They said: “We think it’s a fantastic celebration – we come here every year.

“More people should celebrate England’s patron saint.”

George Cross flags were also given out to families and there was a variety of organisations which had stalls there, including the Bromsgrove Society, Keep Bromsgrove Beautiful and The Blue Cross.
