A NUMBER of free community fun days are set to take place across Bromsgrove district in the coming weeks.
For the events – back by popular demand – residents are urged to take along a picnic or people can buy food at the venues.
The community fun days, which all take place between 12pm and 3pm, will feature traditional games, such as hook-a-duck, tombola, bouncy castle and mega slide and stalls.
Visitors can also watch tricks performed live by a magician and ‘meet the animals’, thanks to Animal Mania.
The next one is at Shawfield, Wythall, on Wednesday, August 13, with the next one on the recreation ground next to King George Close, Sidemoor, on the Wednesday after (August 21).
The final one – on August 29 – will be at Charford Recreation Ground, Lyttleton Avenue.
Everyone is welcome to the events which have been organised by Bromsgrove District Housing Trust (BDHT) to have a positive impact on the local community.
Kate Harvey, 360 Manager at BDHT, said: “We’re so excited to bring the community fun days back again for another summer.
“These events provide an amazing opportunity for communities to connect, have fun, and meet up together.
“A huge shoutout to everyone involved in organising and volunteering time to make these days extraordinary.”
She urged people to ‘mark their calendars, gather their loved ones and head down to the events’.
The housing trust welcomes volunteers to contribute their time, skills, and enthusiasm.
