FAMILIES in Bromsgrove, Rubery and south Birmingham are being sought to host French school students, their teachers and their driver.

They are returning to the UK for the first time in three years, since the Covid pandemic.

Host families are needed for March, April, May and June and the visitors cannot wait to come back.

Lisa Mistry, who runs the scheme, said: “Due to their enjoyment of our varied local attractions over the previous six years, the students will be back to indulge in chocolate at Cadbury World, eat local Fish and Chips, visit Shakespeare’s home in Stratford-Upon-Avon and the Black Country Museum.”

She added host families were needed from all local areas, within commutable driving distance, of the Bromsgrove and Longbridge daily meeting points.

Hosts will need to give these students a comfortable bed and hot meal when they return from their daily excursions.

Lisa added: “This is a great way to exchange language, food and culture, although you do not need to speak French.

“Your hospitality will be financially rewarded.”

Hosts will have their expenses reimbursed.
