A POPULAR Bromsgrove service station has ranked among the UK’s top 10 best stop-offs for families and electric vehicle owners, according to a survey from DriveElectric.
Hopwood Park Services in Bromsgrove earned the top-10 spot for its established electric vehicle charging stations and facilities including various eateries and a child’s play area.
The service station off junction 2 of the M42, on the A441, also has the joint lowest cost per kWh (£0.52) for those wanting to charge their electric vehicle with the station earning an overall rating of 6.02 out of 10, joint eighth in the rankings.
The winning station was Rugby with an overall score of 6.81 out of 10 while nearby Frankley Services ranked among the worst with a score of 1.64 out of 10.
Hopwood Services has a total of 18 electric vehicle chargers and 16 Tesla superchargers. The service’s only let-down was its complete lack of ultra-rapid chargers which are 100 kW or more.
The service stations review rating also played a factor with Hopwood Services scoring four stars out of five.
In total, Hopwood Services boasts 12 eateries, two shops and the children’s play area making it a hotspot for families on their travels.
