THE MP for Bromsgrove have signed by Holocaust Educational Trust’s Book of Commitment in Parliament.
The act by Bradley Thomas coincided with Holocaust Memorial Day, observed annually on January 27.
The trio and other members of Parliament pledged to remember the 6million Jewish men, women and children murdered during the Holocaust, to honour the survivors who have dedicated their lives to education and to speak out against antisemitism wherever it appears.
Holocaust Memorial Day marks 80 years since the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest Nazi concentration and death camp.
This year’s theme, ‘Bridging Generations’, highlights the shared responsibility to ensure remembrance and its lessons are passed from one generation to the next as the number of survivors declines.
Mr Thomas said: Holocaust Memorial Day was an important opportunity for people from Bromsgrove to reflect on the darkest times of European history.
He pledged to speak out against all forms of antisemitism.
“This, in recent months, has risen exponentially and needs to be tackled head on.”
