A LARGE amount of high value cable wire has been stolen from underground in Bromsgrove prompting a police appeal for witnesses.
Last Wednesday (December 4) at around 5pm, high value cable wire, which runs underground and was accessed through a manhole cover, was cut along the B4091 on Stourbridge Road in Catshill.
The following day (Thursday, December 5) at around 11.55pm, the same stretch of wire has been cut at a different point further up on the same road.
The cable has then been attached to a vehicle and dragged out of the ground, before being cut up and taken away.
PC Paul Coles, who is investigating the theft said: “There are two separate occasions when potential witnesses could have been passing through the road.
“We are keen to speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious on either of the days and times previously stated, or to see dashcam footage which could help with our enquiries.
