Help Longbridge campaign to give children in need the Christmas they deserve

Tristan Harris 25th Oct, 2024   0

LONGBRIDGE Methodist Church is a drop-off point for shoeboxes for the annual Operation Christmas Child.

The boxes can be donated between 9am and 2.30pm Monday to Thursday and between 9am and 1pm on Fridays during term-time.

As part of the scheme, operated by the Samaritan’s Purse and being run locally by Jellybabies Nursery, festive packages are filled with fun toys, school supplies and personal care items. They are then delivered to children in need around the world.

Each child receives a shoebox gift as an unconditional gift of love, based on need, regardless of their background or religion.

And, for many of these children, the shoebox present will be the first gift they have ever received.

Anyone dropping off their shoebox at Longbridge Methodist Church should call Jellybabies Nursery on 07915 618557 first. A member of staff will then take the shoebox.

The latest day for shoeboxes to be dropped off at Longbridge Methodist Church is November 8.
