Heart of Worcestershire (How) College - All you need to know about this month's Open Days at the four campuses

STUDENTS thinking about their next step in education can find out more about Heart of Worcestershire (HoW) College at the next open events being held later this month.

The events will take place between 5pm and 8pm on January 29 at the Worcester, Malverm Redditch and Bromsgrove campuses.

HoW College is the largest further education (FE) college in Worcestershire and offers a range of pathways to kick-start all students’ future goals, from FE courses and apprenticeships to adult courses, higher education (HE) courses and T Levels.

All HoW College courses offer a mix of classroom-based and practical learning which can be sure to provide all learners with the correct skills and knowledge to succeed within their chosen field and beyond.

This open event is the perfect opportunity for students to speak with expert tutors, view state-of-the-art facilities, ask questions and browse an extensive range of courses.




Students can even make an application while they are there.


The open event is suitable for those who are leaving school soon, looking to upskill in their current role or wanting to return to education.

A college spokesperson said: “Whatever your aim, come along and see HoW to do it.”

“Our priority is to help each student identify the right path for their ambitions while providing the practical skills needed to succeed in the workplace. With so many courses to choose from, we’re sure that everyone can find a subject that suits their interests at one of our four campuses.”

The campuses

Here are details of each campus and what is offered at each one.

Worcester Campus

Spread across multiple sites, the Worcester campus caters to courses in Performing Arts, Hair and Beauty, Computing and IT, Healthcare Science, Hospitalityand Catering, and Engineering.

Additionally, it boasts dedicated centres for Plumbing, Automotive, and Construction at the Duckworth Centre of Engineering. The Worcester Campus consists of the All Saints Building, St Dunstan’s Building, St Andrew’s Building, Cathedral Building, and the Duckworth Centre of Engineering.

Bromsgrove Campus

Known for its vocational focus, Bromsgrove caters for students interested in everything from Art and Design to Engineering, Media Production, Automotive, Computing and IT, Apprenticeships, and Games Design.

Redditch Campus

The Peakman Street campus offers a broad range of subjects including Healthcare Science, Public Services, Hospitality and Catering, Hair & Beauty, Business, Health and Social Care, Sports, and Travel and Tourism. Redditch campus also supports adult learners through Access to Higher Education and Inclusive Learning programs. The Alliance House site specialises in Construction training.

Malvern campus

Specialising in a diverse range of practical and industry-relevant courses, the Malvern campus provides students with the skills and expertise needed to thrive in the modern construction industry.

From Brickwork and Carpentry to Painting and Decorating, the Malvern campus offers a comprehensive suite of hands-on training programs.
