THERE was plenty of Halloween fun at Jellybabies Nursery and Pre-School based at Longbridge Methodist Church.
Children came in their costumes and took part in a treasure hunt, searching for clues and working as a team to find all the party bag fillers for their Halloween bags.
The youngsters also played Halloween bingo, took part in themed physical play activities and listened to the Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s classic story ‘Room on a Broom’.
Jellybabies’ manager Jacqueline Walker said: “Room on the Broom has a great rhythm and has elements of repetition which our children were able to follow so they could join in with the reading.
“The story presents clear morals about friendship and sharing and we encouraged them to identify the animal characters and learn about the different habitats in which they live.”
The children also acted out the story, using props and, during the past few days have been learning about safety around fireworks and fires ready for this weekend.
