THESE knives have been collected by police at knife surrender locations in Hagley as part of Operation Spectre, the national anti knife crime policing campaign.

The week long campaign, running from May 15 to May 21, has seen police raise awareness in the community, particularly with children and young people, about the dangers of carrying a knife.

The Hagley and Rubery Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “We are carrying out a number of crime prevention initiatives to keep knives off the street and raise awareness.

Residents in Hagley have been making good use of the knife bin.”
