Golf tournament will be Age UK and council chairmans first charity event

BROMSGROVE District Council chairman will mark her first Age UK charity event with a golf tournament and barbecue.

Chairman Councillor Sam Ammar will host the tournament on Friday, September 22 at Bromsgrove Golf Centre from 12 noon.

Golf enthusiasts and supporters of Age UK will tee off at 1pm in teams of four, while individual entries will also be accommodated where possible.

Following registration and refreshments, participants will play until 7pm before the restaurant patio will be home to a special barbecue.

Coun Sam Ammar, said: “I am incredibly proud to host the Golf Tournament and BBQ as my first Chairman’s Charity event in support of Age UK.

“It’s an exciting opportunity and offers a fun day out as well as all proceeds being donated to a charity close to my heart.




“Age UK play an important role in improving the lives of elderly residents in our community, so book your places at the event and help raise vital funds for a deserving charity.”

Tickets cost £47 per person for the whole day, and non-golfers are welcome to attend the evening BBQ at a rate of £20 per person.


All proceeds will be donated to Age UK.
