A WORCESTERSHIRE law firm mfg Solicitors has backed a businesswoman from Alvechurch by donating a four-figure sum to support her recent London Marathon effort.
Through its mfg Charitable Foundation, the law firm has donated £1,000 to the Make a Wish Foundation via Sarah Cutler, a director at Alvechurch-based Eden Properties, who took on the iconic 26.2mile race.
The money will contribute towards the total £3,186 raised by Sarah to help the charity continue to grant life-changing wishes for children who have critical illnesses.
Becky Husband, a senior associate at mfg Solicitors, said: “We have worked closely with Sarah on a variety of property transactions for well over a decade, so were only too happy to support her and the fantastic charity.
“Running a marathon can be a once in a lifetime event for millions of people and Sarah has made it that bit more special by raising funds for a charity that does incredible work to support children and their families.
“We’re delighted that – through the mfg Charitable Foundation – we could play a small part.”
Sarah added: “I’d like to thank the firm for supporting me and for making such a generous donation to Make A Wish.
“It was such a hot day running the marathon, but the atmosphere was amazing and really spurred me on.
“Taking part was always a personal goal of mine but being able to do it while raising funds for a charity that does so much for seriously ill children made it even more special.”
