Go back in time this bank holiday weekend at Harvington Hall

Bromsgrove Editorial 24th May, 2019   0

THERE will be a Best of the Ages festival this bank holiday weekend at Harvington Hall, writes Shivani Chaudhari.

Events and activities will take place between 11.30am and 3.30pm each tomorrow, Sunday and bank holdiday Monday, May 25, 26 and 27.

Among the re-enactors will be Elizabethan musketeers, Georgian gentlemen, medieval mercenaries, Tudor dancers and the soldiers from the World Wars.

Make sure you feast your eyes on a Tudor kitchen before you visit a regency picnic.

The Hall is also running guided tours throughout the day which reveal many unstated revelations from the sixteenth century, a rare opportunity to visit the Hall’s rare Elizabethan wall paintings.

The Moat-side Tea Room will be serving light lunches and homemade cakes, and the Hall’s gift shop will also be open from 11.30am to 5.30pm.

Visitors should be aware the archery and musketry demonstrations are weather dependent.
