BROMSGROVE charity Libby Mae’s Little Angels brought some Mother’s Day cheer to new mums across the region.

Despite the pandemic and lack of fund-raising opportunities during the past 12 months, founders Charlotte and Richard still managed to deliver gift bags to neonatal units across the West Midlands.

Among the hospitals they visited were the Worcestershire Royal, the Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospitals, Heartlands, Good Hope, New Cross, Russell’s Hall, Walsall Manor, City Hospital and Hereford.

Charlotte said: “Mothers Day is a day some of us take for granted, for these mums with a baby in neonatal it may be their first Mothers Day and for some sadly it may be their last too.

“This is why Libby Mae’s Little Angels like to make these Moms feel special by giving them a small gift and a card.”

Although the NHS would always supply the most necessary equipment, the charity fills the gaps and the equipment and resources they supply help make a huge difference.

One grateful mum took to the charity’s Instagram page, saying: “Today is my first mummy’s day and I came into my beautiful daughters’ room and one of your bags was waiting for me.

“So very kind and thoughtful thank you so much. Happy Mothers Day xxx’
