WASELEY Hills Crematorium will be remembering mums next month as local families are invited to craft a tribute for or in memory of their mother figure.
On March 18, the day before Mother’s Day, people are being invited to visit the crematorium between 10.30am and 2pm to create a personalised Mother’s Day keepsake.
The event is free and will be supported by Creative Arts Bromsgrove.
Joy Edgington, Waseley Hills Crematorium site manager, said: “Mother’s Day can be a particularly poignant time for those who have lost their mum or mother-figure, or for mothers who have been bereaved of a child.
“We wanted to do something to engage with local people and help them create a keepsake that is truly personal.”
This latest event follows on from the success of recent workshops for the bereaved.
Joy added: “We hope that visiting us and taking part in our Mother’s Day activity will bring comfort to anyone who needs it during this special time of the year.”
