Get back into hockey with new indoor sessions in Bromsgrove

HOCKEY players of all abilities can get back into the sport with a new five-week programme which gets under way on February 12 at South Bromsgrove High School.

The Get In2 Hockey sessions will take place weekly in the school’s gymnasium – the first two are introductory sessions from 7pm to 8.15pm led by Bromsgrove Hockey Club coaches.

The following three weeks’ sessions will be social games from 8.15pm to 9.30pm.

The matches will be played in mixed adult teams of six-a-side so players can hone their skills.

The pitch is smaller, the ball is lighter and, being indoors, there is no chance of bad weather stopping play.

The sessions are open for everyone from 18 and upwards and all playing levels are welcome.

Teams will be mixed up each week to give people the best experience.

Hockey sticks can be provided but shin pads and gumshields and suitable clothing and trainers are recommended.

The five-week programme is £20 for new members who register and pay before Wednesday, February 5.
