A NEW boutique gym has opened in Bromsgrove High Street in a bid to give people an easily accessible central location where they can work out, receive coaching and be inspired.
The new training concept at the Funktional Fitness Boutique is the brainchild of father and son team Scott and Ben who have more than 30 years health and fitness experience between them.
The new floor-based training concept enables people to use fitness to improve their mental and physical health.
The venue was created by converting and specifically designing a vacant high street unit to accommodate and motivate people of all abilities – from those new to training, through to seasoned athletes so everyone can enjoy being there and will want to come back time and again.
The pair want to bring ‘energy to the high street’ with their flexible functional space for individual exercise, small group training, floor-based classes, Boxing for Fitness and one-to-one personal training.
On the ground floor there are two hit hubs, multiple training stations perfect for small groups and a boxing training bag along with other equipment, including battle ropes, a CRUX Rope Pulley, suspension training straps, corebags and kettlebells.
There is also an Octagon frame and host of other equipment – all selected to provide limitless training options.
On the first floor, there is a BOX12 Pod and Circuit – also offering a variety of workouts.
BOX12 is a 36-minute workout consisting of 12 three-minute rounds that combine boxing and functional fitness exercises.
A new round starts every three minutes and people do not have to rely on anyone else – they can just turn up and start when they want to.
