Fund-raising campaign launched to pay for the funeral for much-loved Charford woman 'Bitty'

A CAMPAIGN has been launched to pay for the funeral of a much-loved Charford woman who died of sepsis on Sunday.

Yvonne Karen Stokes, mum to Nikki, David and Kelly, was known by her friends as ‘Bitty’ and was just 52 years old when she passed away.

Nikki said: “She was known by absolutely everyone, loved socialising and was a regular in the Hungry Horse pub which will never be the same without her.”

Bitty also had five grandchildren who she adored and doted on.

Nikki added: “We can’t believe our beautiful mum has passed away and we’re raising all that we can to give her the best send off she deserves.

“If you can’t give we fully understand but this is for our Bit and so many who loved and adored her will understand.

“This is her last party to show her just how much of a legend she really was.”

All funds will go to the funeral and Bitty’s send-off.
