BROMSGROVE Blood Cancer UK will hold its annual Fun Run on May 10 with participants choosing between a 5k or 10k course.
More than 60 runners have already registered for the event which starts and finishes at Bromsgrove Rugby Club and the organisers are hoping more will follow suit.
Individuals can line up on their own or with family and friends and the event is also usually popular with gym and running clubs.
This year, Bromsgrove Blood Cancer UK is also hoping to join with Leo’s Army on the day and to try to get as many people as possible to join the DKMS stem cell register.
The charity does the research but donors are needed for those with blood cancers.
Marshals are also been sought, as are sponsors to help cover costs.
Nicole Harris from Bromsgrove Blood Cancer UK said: “We only require £100 from each sponsor, so every penny goes directly to the research.”
Runners signing up receive a race number and information, all finishers get a medal and there are prizes for the first, second and third places in both male and female races.
Runners who fundraise £30 or more before the event get a T-shirt on the day.
Bromsgrove Blood Cancer UK is also holding a quiz night at Avoncroft Arts Centre at 7.30pm on March 13.
It is £28 for each team of four.
