A HOST of activities will be on offer at this year’s Dodford Village Summer Fete which runs between 1pm and 4pm this Sunday, July 2.
The event will offer ‘some good old village fun and laughter’ with activities including a book stall, cake stall, Aunt Sally, traditional games, tombola, bottle tombola, gardening club, Dodford School dance and more.
There will be a dog show which is £2 per entry and features fun categories, including ‘waggiest tail’, ‘best biscuit catcher’ and ‘dog most like its owner’.
A special open day is being held at Holy Trinity and St Mary’s Church, Prirory Road, Dodford – also between 1pm and 4pm on Sunday, July 2.
An art display from children at Dodford First School and Nursery will be available to view and couples thinking of tying the knot can have a look around to see if the venue would be to their liking for their big day.
Traditional cream teas will also be on offer on the church for £4.
Any profits on the day will go to the Dodford Church New Organ Fund.
