Free playscheme aimed at getting children out in green spaces takes place in Rubery from Tuesday (April 3)

Bromsgrove Editorial 31st Mar, 2018   0

A FREE playscheme aimed at getting children out and about in green spaces, parks and recreation grounds takes place from Tuesday to Saturday, April 3 to 6.

Youngsters are being urged to undertake activities considered lost over the last 60 years, such as tree climbing, den building and other, sometimes messy, types of play.

Sessions are being held by the Birmingham PlayCare Network (BPCN) between 11am and 4pm each day in St Chad’s Park, Rubery.

Activities and play will pop up in and around the park, encouraging children to take risks, problem solve and have fun.

Participants should look for playworkers who have the BPCN logo on.
