FREE activities will be available to children eligible for free school meals in Bromsgrove, as part of the national Holiday Activities (HAF) programme.
Bromsgrove Sport and Leisure Centre, managed by Everyone Active, will host an exciting range of free activities for the youngsters, such as swimming, arts and crafts, and multisport – all accompanied by free lunches.
The scheme aims to promote both physical wellbeing and social interaction in children of families who receive free school meals.
All the activities aim to challenge the children’s physical abilities, encourage creativity, and promote social interaction among participants.
Everyone Active contract manager, Wayne Desmond said they were thrilled to be part of the national HAF programme in Bromsgrove.
“Through these free summer holiday activities, we aim to create an inclusive environment where children can have fun, develop new skills and stay active during their break.”
Coun Steve Colella, Bromsgrove District Council’s portfolio holder for leisure, said: “I encourage any eligible families to register their children for these free summer activities, and get set to have an enjoyable, memorable, and worry-free break.”
The sessions will take place from 11am to 3pm, Monday to Thursday on July 31 to August 3, August 7 to 10, 14 to 17 and 21 to 24.
Schoolchildren from reception to year 11, who receive free school meals, are eligible for HAF sessions.
Advanced registration is required as places are limited to ensure safe and enjoyable experiences for all participants.
