FOUR men were arrested in Fairfield on suspicion of attempting to steal a vehicle by using a relay device.
Officers from the Operational Patrol Unit (OPU) made the arrests on Tuesday (December 6) morning.
The device is a wireless transmitter which captures a vehicle’s radio transmission.
It can fool keyless cars into thinking the key is close to the vehicle, so it unlocks.
A knife was also recovered from the scene.
