AN APPEAL has been made for former Winterfold school pupils to return to their old stomping ground to celebrate its 100th birthday.
As part of the Chaddesley Corbett school’s centenary year, it will be opening its doors to former staff, pupils and their parents.
On Sunday, May 21 staff will be facing off against parents and alumni in a cricket match at 1pm followed by afternoon tea.
The School is looking for former members of its ‘groove diggers’ band to showcase their musical skills during a gala concert, which will be held in the evening.
Then on the following Wednesday, May 24, there will be a lecture on the history of the school from 5pm.
And there will be a centenary ball on Saturday, May 20, which will be organised by the Friends of Winterfold.
Winterfold’s headmistress Denise Toms said the school hoped anyone with a connection to it would consider becoming founding members of the new Old Winterfoldians community.
