BROMSGROVE-born Ben Francis has been named the fourth in the Sunday Times Rich List Top 40 Under 40.

According to the list, the founder and owner of fashion and clothing company Gymshark has a ‘2024 wealth’ of £725million.

Last year, the former South Bromsgrove High School student was crowned the UK’s youngest billionaire in Forbes rich list making him the 2187th richest billionaire in the world.

Francis co-founded Gymshark in 2012 with Lewis Morgan, whilst studying at Aston University together where they began screen-printing and selling fitness clothing in his parent’s garage in Solihull.

The 76-page special edition of The Sunday Times Magazine reveals the largest fall in the billionaire count in the guide’s 36-year history, from a peak of 177 in 2022 to 165 this year.

This year’s list of 350 individuals and families together hold combined wealth of £795.361billion — a sum larger than the annual GDP of Poland.

Sir Elton John, Lord Lloyd-Webber and David and Victoria Beckham all appear in the annual survey. The minimum entry for the list of 350 this year is £350 million.
