FORMER Bromsgrove Sporting director Pete O’Connell has died.
O’Connell passed away last Sunday (June 4) and was well-known to many within the football community and was a founding member of the Bromsgrove Sporting Supporters Society.
He served as the Society’s chairman and more recently as president having previously acted as a physio at Bromsgrove Rovers during the Bobby Hope era.
O’Connell became a director at Rovers in the early 2000’s and was appointed as a Society representative on the Sporting board in 2014 – a position he fulfilled until 2019.
Sporting remain in contact with Pete’s family with further details including funeral arrangements to be announced in due course.
