THE TOWN of Bromsgrove is set to ignite taste buds and celebrate its bustling food and drink scene during its upcoming food festival.

A Taste of Bromsgrove has been created to showcase the best independent hospitality businesses in and around Bromsgrove on Sunday, October 6.

The event follows in the footsteps of a similar event in earlier this year and will also be replicated in Worcester.

Both residents and visitors can enjoy everything from delicious kebabs and pizzas to tempting tapas and waffles, alongside drinks from local bars and live music.

Leader of Bromsgrove District Council, councillor Karen May said: “This is great news for Bromsgrove. We know we have a great Town Centre, and this celebration will showcase what we have on offer.”

Hosted by Visit Worcestershire and Bromsgrove District Council, the event will run from 1pm until 7pm on Bromsgrove High Street.

Cabinet member for leisure, councillor Bernard McEldowney said: “Bromsgrove boasts an eclectic mix of independent traders all of whom need our support.

“This event will showcase what our District has to offer and will encourage residents and visitors alike to sample a taste of Bromsgrove.“
