Five hurt in serious Bromsgrove crash

FIVE people went to hospital after a serious crash in Bromsgrove last night.

The two-car collision happened around 10.15pm on the A38 Birmingham Road.

An West Midlands Ambulance Service crew came past the crash and called for more support, including another ambulance, two paramedic officers, the HART team and the MERIT car with a critical care paramedic and doctor on board.

Two fire crews from Bromsgrove were also called in and cut casualties from one of the vehicles.

In the first car there were three patients – one man was treated for potentially serious injuries and taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further treatment.

A woman in the same car was treated for less serious injuries and also taken to the QE.

A third was treated for minor injuries and taken to the Worcestershire Royal.

In the other car there were two men – both were treated for minor injuries and made their own way to hospital for further assessment.
