FIREFIGHTERS extinguished a vehicle blaze on the M42 yesterday.
It happened around 3.30pm on the southbound carriageway between Junction 2 (Hopwood) and Junction 1 (Bromsgrove).
The incident lasted several hours and led to several miles of congestion and delays while the vehicle was recovered and the carriageway repaired.
The motorway was fully reopened around 9pm.
