A DRIVER had a lucky escape after a fire broke out in the engine compartment of a car in Bromsgrove.
One crew from Bromsgrove Fire Station were called at 4.43pm on Tuesday to the incident on Lydiate Ash Road.
The fire was in the engine compartment and had spread to the front passenger cab.
Two firefighters extinguished the blaze using water jets.
Police were on hand to monitor and direct traffic.
The incident was dealt with by 5.39pm.
