A NEW cake shop officially opened its doors in Rubery with a special event on Saturday and Sunday.
Visitors to The Cake Solution, owned by Dillan Shikotra and Neil Blakeman, could spin a wheel to win cake, pick up £1 takeaway coffees, and there were free cake pops for the under 12s, along with other offers.
Dillan said: “We chose Rubery as there are not that many places where people can sit down with family or friends and have a coffee and a nice slice of cake and the response so far has been brilliant.
“We wanted people to come down and see what we had to offer and they did – we gave away lots of cake.”
Dillan and Neil bought out the existing business and there are now have nine stores across the Midlands, including Birmingham, Nottingham and Leicester.
All of the cakes are hand-made by The Cake Solution team.
