ST JOHN’S Court nursing home enjoyed a busy afternoon of fund-raising last Saturday, writes Reuben Virk.
The annual event coincided with Bromsgrove Carnival providing a vibrant atmosphere and successful fund-raising for the home and nearby Housman Court.
People browsed a variety of stalls, including clothes and accessories, a book stall, food, face-painting and a tombola.
There was also a barbecue, bouncy castle and a ‘guess the amount of sweets in the jar’ challenge.
Faye Upton, the home’s deputy manager, said: “It was a very enjoyable day and we wanted to thank everyone who took part to make it happen and those who supported in raising £260 for the residents living at St John’s Court.”
She added fund-raising was very important so the residents could enjoy little extras many people took for granted.
