THE LATEST Swapmeet to be held by South Birmingham Model Flying Club takes place on Sunday, January 20, in Lickey.

The fourth event to be hosted by the club takes place between 10.30am and 2pm at the Trinity Centre and admission is just £2 per person.

More than 150 aero-modellers are expected at the Swapmeet and there will be the chance to buy rare and sought-after gliders, radio control and control line models, along with rare aviation and model flying books, many which hacve been donated by club members.

Visitors can also expect to see model boats and cars at the Swapmeet and refreshments are being provided by Clavellis of Bromsgrove.

Tony Field, secretary of South Birmingham Model Flying Club, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming an even bigger number of aero-modelling enthusiasts than we had at last year’s event.

“Following the success of last years’ edition, we’re also keen to welcome model boat and car enthusiasts.”

The tables are £5 each but Tony added most of the them had already been snapped up so anybody who wanted to sell items should contact South Birmingham Model Flying Club soon.

For more details email Tony Field at [email protected] or call him on 0121 476 6583. Alternatively, email Trevor Tennant at [email protected] or call him on on 0161 765 4164.
