Family festival to be held in Rubery to help Ellie with cancer battle

A FAMILY-friendly festival will take place tomorrow (Saturday) to raise funds for Ellie Gwilliams who is currently fighting cancer.

The free event, from midday to 6pm in the grounds of Holywell School in Rubery, will feature live music, face-painting. food, market stalls, auction, bouncy castle, raffles and more.

Among the artists performing will be Charley Thompson, former Search for a Star winner Joe James Thomas, Issy Young, Lucy Shaw and Scott Cartwright.

There will also be a dance display, netball, refreshments and a football match.




Tomorrow will be Ellie’s 31st birthday.

A number of cakes have also been donated by Susan O’Leary from Polly Put the Kettle On.
