FAIRFIELD’S village volunteers took part in ‘the big help out’ by helping to refresh the community millennium garden.
Helpers of all ages took part across two days, helping to varnish benches, create a wildflower zone amongst the fruit trees and plant plants in raised flower beds that have been donated by Beechcroft Garden Centre.
And after a hard day’s work members of the party gathered in the village hall for refreshments, cakes and to view past photographs of village events.
The volunteers now plan to regularly maintain this adopted area.
The project is being led by the Fairfield Village Community Association and supported by Belbroughton and Fairfield Parish Council.
