VISITORS to Avoncroft Museum this weekend can experience all the thrills of traditional medieval jousting tournament being held both tomorrow and Sunday, September 28 and 29.

There will be the sound of thundering hooves as viewers are whisked back to 1459 and the scene of a medieval village.

Living history camps will form the centrepiece, demonstrating how knights, ladies, squires and even their horses spent their days.

Other activities include archery contests, battle re-enactments and knights practicising their mounted skill at arms drills.

The events run from 10.30am to 5pm and admission to the museum is £11 for adults, £9.90 for seniors and £6.60 for children (under fives go free).
