Driver trapped in car on the A38 in Bromsgrove as metal plates fall from lorry

A WOMAN had a lucky escape after metal plates fell from a lorry onto her car trapping her inside.

The driver had to be cut free from the vehicle by firefighters on the A38 at Lydiate Ash, Bromsgrove, this morning.

Fire crews from Bromsgrove and Northfield attended the scene which happened around 7.30am.

Two ambulances and a paramedic officer were sent to the incident.




After being checked over by medics she was discharged at the scene.

The main Birmingham Road was closed until 8.37am, causing delays for rush hour commuters.
