Driver crashed and was arrested after police pursuit from Rubery to Northfield

A DRIVER was arrested after a police pursuit from Rubery to Northfield in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The motorist was held for aggravated taking a vehicle without consent and dangerous driving.

The BMW had  ailed to stop for officers from Worcestershire Operational Patrol Unit in Rubery and the chase ensued.




The driver then lost control and crashed the car into traffic lights at the box junction of the Bristol Road South and Church Road, near Northfield Shopping Centre.

It was here he was arrested and taken into custody.
