DISABLED and elderly people will be able to use Bromsgrove’s shopmobility scheme again from Monday, July 13, the district council has announced.
Already-registered customers will be able to pre-book the equipment, which is available between 9.30am and 2.30pm, but should be mindful the bookings are temporarily limited to three hours at a time.
Anyone who has difficulty walking can register to use the free equipment to help them get around Bromsgrove town centre six days a week.
Among it is battery powered wheelchairs and scooters and manual wheelchairs – council officers can help users decide on the right equipment for them and show them how to use it.
Council staff will also bring it out to them at the authority’s specially-designated parking spaces.
