POLICE who stopped a driver at Hopwood services found the motorist had 29 penalty points – two-and-a-half times the amount which incurs a ban.
Officers from Worcestershire Operational Policing Unit checked the driver’s licence at the services off the M42 earlier tonight.
And with 11 points usually meaning a driver is banned, the motorist, who was in a Fiat Punto, was arrested for driving while disqualified, the vehicle was seized and a court date awaits.
