DEVELOPERS attempting to build hundreds of homes on the former North Worcestershire Golf Club have scaled back their plans in a bid to get them through.
Bloor Homes had initially submitted plans for 950 homes but has now reduced it to 800.
As well as the properties, the application also featured a new primary school, a multi-use community centre and 27 acres of public open space.
Other key changes to the application include expanding the width of the central ‘green’ corridor and the wildlife corridor on the east side and increasing the number of pedestrian areas between the east and west, along with setting the development back from Frankley Beeches Road.
The company has already taken its fight to the Government by appealing which has prompted a public inquiry to be held in October.
