Bromsgrove Editorial 6th Mar, 2019   0

THE DEPUTY leader of the Green Party, Amelia Womack, is set to visit Redditch on Saturday, March 9, writes Thomas Giles.

Ms Womack, who is the youngest person in a leadership position of any UK political party, will chat with voters and learn more about their concerns and community projects.

The 34-year-old will be speaking at a public event from 3pm to 5pm at Crabbs Cross Methodist Church on Crabbs Cross Lane.

Prior to this, there will be a Community Litter Pick at 2pm, organised by Bromsgrove and Redditch Green Party campaigner Claire Davies.

Participants will be provided with equipment and refreshments in the church.

Ms Womack also plans to visit the staff and volunteers of Rees Cafe to find out about their work in the foster and residential care community before heading to farm shop Rough Hill Rare Breeds to discuss food, farming and the economy.

For more details on the event call Alistair Waugh on 07751 305654.
