A CYCLIST has been treated for potentially serious injuries and taken to hospital after a ceash in Longbridge.
An ambulance and the West Midlands CARE Team were called to the collision involving a bike and a car.
The incident happened at 10.45am this morning (Friday, May 26), at the junction of Bristol Road South and the A38.
Ambulance crews arrived at the scene to discover the injured 37-year-old male cyclist who was treated by medics before being taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further treatment.
West Midlands Police said officers were called to the crash and arrested a 31-year-old man at the scene on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs.
He has been bailed pending further enquiries.
