A CURRY NIGHT fundraiser event will be held on October 29 to raise funds money for the forthcoming Cofton Village Hall.
Food and drinks will be served at Goa Goa Muhid Miah restaurant on Groveley Lane where guests will be able to enjoy a five-course meal which includes a starter, main and dessert.
The new hall at the corner of East Works Drive is being built by St Mowden and is expected to be finished by the end of next year.
A group of trustees in charge of running it are busy raising money for set up costs and are hoping to raise between £80,000 to £100,000 for the project.
Chair of the group Rev Sheri Gidney, said: “The set-up costs for the village hall are huge and that’s why fund-raising events are a great way for us to reach that goal.
“It’s also important to have the community involved in creating this wonderful new facility.
“A curry with owner of Goa Goa Muhid Miah is a great way to kick things off.”
There are 30 places available and anyone wanting to book should email [email protected] or call Sheri on 07749 916996.
